ALBUM UPDATE:
MASTERED BY ACE OF SKUNK ANANSIE

Since our last album update, things have been speeding up quite a bit! The final mix was completed by Big C on 5th February and we are pleased to announce that we have had the album mastered in London by multi-platinum selling artist & record producer ACE- former guitarist, songwriter and founding member of SKUNK ANANSIE!!.

Ace is now guitarist with INNER MANTRA and an established record producer (SAL, KING PRAWN, GIRLSCHOOL, PLANET OF WOMEN, MULTI PURPOSE CHEMICAL and more) as well as a radio presenter on "The Damo and Ace Show" on Brighton's Juice 107.2 and occasional rock club DJing for Kerrang! and Monsters of Rock tours, as well as Download & Reading festivals. He also recorded his own solo LP 'ACESOUNDS' with a host of famous singers including JJ Burnell of THE STRANGLERS, Jason Perry of A, Skin from SKUNK ANANSIE, Benji from SKINDRED/DUB WAR, Skye of MORCHEEBA and none other than Mr. MOTORHEAD himself, Lemmy, amongst others.


Aside from songwriting, DJing and record production, Ace is a music recording techniques & FX pedal journalist, author of Creative Guitar 3 - Recording Effects and was writer for Guitarist Magazine between 2000 and 2006. He is also a part-time degree tutor at The Brighton Institute of Modern Music. As a recording artist, Ace recorded three albums with Skunk Anansie, one LP with Acesounds and one LP with Inner Mantra, totalling over 4.5 million sales. In the live arena, he has been involved with seven sell-out world tours over seven years, touring and playing large venues with such bands as Rammstein, Tool, Rage Against The Machine, Metallica, Foo Fighters, Lenny Kravitz, Killing Joke, Staind, Limp Bizkit, Muse, Stereophonics and Bon Jovi!!. Personal highlights include headlining Glastonbury Festival in 1999, performing with Luciano Pavarotti for the Dalai Lama and playing Nelson Mandela's 80th Birthday Gift to the nation stadium concerts. Skunk Anansie's last concert in the UK was a sell out show at the London Docklands Arena in 2000.

As long-time Skunk Anansie fans, we are so pleased to have had Ace master Attica's debut album and we can confirm it is sounding ultra-heavy, clear and uber-punchy - we can't wait to get it out there and let you hear it!

In the meantime, Jonny has been down in London scouting for gigs and attending a member's induction meeting for Vanduara Records with AIM (Association of Independent Music). We've also had a photo-shoot for the album sleeve & promo photos taken by Anthony Hamilton of Alternative Core Photography (will be uploaded soon!). We are also currently looking into plans for filming a video for the first single from the album as well as the CD manufacturing and distribution. And on top of all that, we've just been confirmed for Metal Camp festival and been booked as support for Diamond Head & Blitzkrieg!

Things are picking up pace and once we have the pressed CDs in our hands, we'll decide and announce a definite release date as well as details on the lead single.
