Me again, still looking for acoustic noise makers to join me for some shows and recordings. I've not got anything definate in mind of what I actually need, but some of the following wouldn't go a miss:
Mandolins
Violins
Bodhrans
Banjos
Spoons
Snare drums
Harmonicas
Accordians
Marracas
Kitchen Sink?
Anything acoustic really, the main idea is to make an almighty folk racket and be able to practice anywhere (outdoors if sunny, band member's flats if wet).
Have a wee listen to the songs on
www.myspace.com/davehughesmusic for an idea of the type of folk I play and then, if you can offer anything, get in touch. Even if you are pretty rough at it.
I've got a couple gigs booked for the end of the year (14th Dec in Glasgow, 22nd in Aberdeen), so if this actually gets off the ground, i'd love accompaniment - the gigs are paid. And next year I'm gonna carry on with my play anywhere and everywhere regime which took me all over the UK this year.
So yeah, influences: The pogues, The Clash, Seeger Sessions, Al Baker and The Dole Queue, Riot-Folk, Mischief Brew and Erik Petersen
Music - davehughesmusic.bebo.com and

Age not truly important, but 18+ would be preferable (lots of pub playing!).
You can message me through the myspace or bebo, or add me to msn as dave at davehughesmusic.co.uk (or even email me there!)
Cheers,
Dave
