| Drive By Truckers. Boogie merchants with the triple guitar attack of a Lynyrd Skynyrd but the soul of a Steve Earle.
They've become one of my favourite bands over the past year, and like most of my favourite bands they're as at home with huge riffs and epic solos as they are with gentle acoustic balladry.
I would suggest that anyone who loves rock (or hey, even claims to love rock) grab themselves a copy of 'Decoration Day' or 'The Dirty South'.
Recommended tracks for anyone who fancies stealing... uhh, previewing DBT:
Where The Devil Don't Stay
Hell No, I Ain’t Happy
(Something's Got To) Give Pretty Soon
Danko/Manuel
Daylight
Aftermath USA
Let There Be Rock

Best whiskey-drinking music I've heard in ages.

| Re: Drive By Truckers. Yeah, pretty much, Jen wants us to be more southern rock... One of the shitty-recording-core new tracks on www.myspace.com/chevyandthechasers 'Rock and Roll Wreck' has my attempt at a Skynyrd solo at the very end if you can get through the fucking horrendous noise of the first two minutes or so
We will actually do some proper recording soon, I promise.

| Re: Drive By Truckers. Where the Devil Don't stay was probably my track of the summer, absolute belter of a track. Truckers certainly get the thumbs up from me, it's sleazy southern US rock at it's finest!
