| Re: 5 Songs you love right NOW My five favourite songs today all come from the soundtrack to the Todd Solondz film 'I'm Not There'. 1. 'Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again' - Cat Power
It's disturbing to hear someone I find so attractive singing a Dylan song I know intimately. It feels wrong. 2. 'Pressing On' - John Doe
I love white gospel. 3. 'I'm Not There' - Sonic Youth
One of the most heartbreaking songs ever written + plus noise = teh winz 4. 'Just Like a Woman' - Charlotte Gainsbourg and Calexico
See Cat Power. 5. 'The Man in the Long Black Coat' - Mark Lanegan
Fucking grim.
All best played on repeat while posting about scatloving former friends on the internet.

have you heard stereolab's version of bonnie & clyde? it's rather good. | I haven't actually, although their cover version sounds mental. Stereolab are just one of those bands who for some reason or another i've never really got into besides a couple of collaborations they've done with a few other bands. Will investigate further. On a lighter note, just noticed the tags, quality.

| Re: 5 Songs you love right NOW New 5 for today.
1. The Knife - Heartbeats (the electro original version of the Jose Gonzales single)
2. Captain Beefheart & The Magic Band - Electricity
3. Radiohead - The National Anthem
4. Faith No More - The Crab Song
5. Ed Alleyne-Johnson - Orange
If you only watch one of the videos then go for number 5. It's Ed busking with his 5 string electric violin and his big rack of loop and effect pedals. The man is amazing. |
