Re: 5 Songs you love right NOW

I'm in work, so no YouTube links here. I just got my ipod back and I'm loving:

Modest Mouse - 3rd Planet

Nick Cave & Kylie Minogue - Where The Wild Roses Grow

Her Space Holiday - Japanese Gum

Interpol - PDA

Elliot Smith - Son Of Sam

Mainly loving them all because I haven't had the please of listening to them for aaaaages due to a broken ipod and a crap computer.

Re: 5 Songs you love right NOW

I went to see Interpol last Monday, they were better than i thought. One thing i did leave the gig with is an increased hatred for Editors, their singer just sounds like he's putting it on.

Editors are Herman Hermits to Interpol's Beatles.

Also, on 'Waiting For the Sun' Jim Morrison sounds freakishly like the guy from Interpol.

I missed them because I didn't know they were playing, and missed them the last time because it clashed with the Smashing Pumpkins. Pretty gutted, since the general opinion seems to be the gig was brilliant Next time!

I fucking hate the Editors for that.

I loved Interpol's first album and they were great when I saw them live but nothing they've done since then has grabbed me.

Yeah loadsa people have said to me they don't rate the latest album. I really like it, although it is pretty different to their previous ones.

Re: 5 Songs you love right NOW

Well i didn't really like them when i saw them at Leeds but i thought they were great last week. Only annoying things were the extremely low temperature in the Carling Academy and the fact that doors opened at 7 even though the support act wasn't on until 8:15.

Fionn Regan - Put a penny in the slot.

Stranglersc - No more heroes

Ikara Colt- Wake Up in the City
This isn't on youtube so I cant post it up. Find it. It's off Modern Feeling. I love this song. Yes, it's all a bit of Sonic youth rip-offery, but I absolutely love it to bits and it makes me want to go a bit mental (in a good way) every time i hear it.

Ah fuck, it would appear there is no youtube linkery for me. Oh well, find these ones too:

Propagandhi - Mate Ka Moris Ukun Rasik An
I loved this from the first moment I heard it and I havn't stopped since. It's just so angry, but still has a positive "you can make a difference" vibe (god, I just sounded so pretentious there).

Delta 9- Atomiser
This is the single fucking best song in the world for me at the moment, especially pre club with a pint of cider and a maniacal grin.

Rise Against- Join The Ranks
This is quite an old RA song, but fuck it, since i found out my decks can play scratched CDs with suprisingly regularity, its been pretty much on a loop in my flat

Militant Cheerleaders on the Move- Neuropa
Cunts are gettin' ripped to this, right?

The Shins - Caring Is Creepy
Rush - Limelight
Iron Maiden - The Wicker Man
Porcupine Tree - Blackest Eyes
Tyketto - The Ballad Of Ruby

Re: 5 Songs you love right NOW

I must above all things love myself. I need to get a hold of a good Grinderman bootleg, those Later clips are unfuckingbelievable. Especially Travis trying to pretend they're enjoying it.

'The Bottle' is a fucking chooooooooooon.
