I'm watching it just now... It's pretty interesting, but all of these bands are terrible. Just really simple, uninteresting music, usually performed sloppily. I get that it's largely about attitude and non-comformity and all that, and that's cool but these guys are pulling that off really oddly. I can't decide if Sonic Youth are trying to come across as sarcastic, hypocritical and self-parodying, or if they really are just THAT fucking annoying as people. I was trying so hard to believe the former, but it really does seem to be the latter. But, hey, at least they're having fun! Uhh, I think. | |

I wasn't able to watch this in the end. It was just shoddily performed music interspered with shite banter, and after three years in Psyko Dalek I'm pretty much doing everything I can to avoid both of these things. Pass. | |

I just said that! In nu-metal's defence though, at least when KoRn say "THIS IS A FUCK YOU TO OUR PARENTS", like that guy from Sonic Youth did, nobody takes it seriously. Everyone knows nu-metal musicians are just middle class whiners who have actually lived pretty easy lives with great supportive families, nobody is duped into thinking they are actually deep-thinking radicalists with a revolutionary message worth making a documentary about or any shit like that. | |
