| Re: Booking Tours Cool, I tried going on a Russian punk forum, all the letters are backwards and most of them are actually shapes rather than characters.
Almost got all out Finnish dates booked up, got a few Danish and Swedish ones left to fill and re-arrange. I'll be happy when we go, but just now I wanna cry as my brain has given up on me. |

| Re: Booking Tours Get a booking agent. We were with Smelt a Noise, they didn't take a big cut and only fucked up occasionally (turned up at a venue in Newquay once which had been shut for 6 months).

| Re: Booking Tours I'd rather cut out the middle man to be honest, same with getting a manager. It's easy enough to get the shows, its just difficult to get started. First time I played denmark it ws two shows, his was with resistance, when Black Rat went over in October we had 2 shows confirmed between Denmark and Sweden, we ended up play 5. This time we are going over for two weeks and word of mouth, begging, borrowing and stealing has helped us get a few extra shows. But doing it all by yourself is shite, and a lot of hard work, but at th end of the day I can feel smug about what I've done.
Finnish still hurts my head though. |

I've been offered a support slot on an Icelandic tour in the summertime, but I know next to nothing about what Iceland is like to play in. |

Aparently its amazing, although th lack of daylight supposadly fucks you up and gives the place a weird atmosphere. But I cant see it any different from Scandanavia. Where is Iceland in the world. |

| Re: Booking Tours I don't think there's much touring to be done in Iceland... it's only really got one city
What a GOOD booking agent will give you is contracts and back-up. Stop you getting the run around, and make sure you actually get paid. Very handy for sorting out work permits, visa's stuff like that.

IF you're going in legitimately. Quote:

All depends on the type of shows you're doing, what your profile is.
