| Soul, Funk, Blues etc Any you cats like a bit of soul, funk, blues etc?
If so post bands/singers you dig here. My knowledge on these genres is pretty shallow, so I'm hoping for you lot to point me in the right direction. Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings
^ Possibly the best band ever. PM if you wanna hear more of their shit. |

| Re: Soul, Funk, Blues etc I like some blues. Seasick Steve's been getting a lot of airtime in my house recently. As have the Black Eyed Snakes. But I'm nowhere near arrogant enough to call me a fan. I don't seek it out really and if the Blues Brothers never covered them or performed with them a lot of the ol' past masters have went by my in my lifetime without me noticing.

The Black Keys. Fucking love them. (Perhaps a little out of the genre scope)

| Re: Soul, Funk, Blues etc Check out Ben Weaver’s BluesLivingHollerin’ compilation album. It’s fucking great. Whatever you do though (and this is important), don’t get his latest record instead. It’s fey sub-James-Blunt twinkly indie pish. I have no idea how that happened.
