| Re: Portishead - Third I remember that one album they did, their first, absolutely brilliant then their second album came out and it was shit. Just after the first album they played glastonbury and the whole of glastonbury tried to get into a space only designed for about 2,000 people. Took over two hours to reach the venue because of the crowds and they had to cancel for safety reasons |

| Anyone see Portishead perform the 3rd album? Portishead performed their latest album (Their 3rd) on Google TV
I thought it was much better than the second album (how could it not be - the second was a pile of bears diarrhea) but not as good as the first, however a I would say that its still very close to being as good as and in time I may grow to love it - definitely worth downloading !!!! I rate it as 9/10 compared to 10/10 for their first |

| Re: Portishead - Third I saw portishead on sat at the corn exchange and apart from folk being there and talking like they were in a pub and ruining being able to hear the music properly,it was top notch.
I love both albums and am very excited about getting the new one, Im not averse to downloading but when its a band that i adore as portishead are, then i will be buying a copy
In my view they are possibly the best band ever

| Re: Portishead - Third I really like this. Much respect for taking it in a new direction, rather than trying to regurgitate their nineties sound. Amazing live too. |

| Re: Portishead - Third Here, I just got lent this album from a friend at work. It has just finished spinning in my stereo and I am really impressed; a true sonic feast for the ears and the lassie's voice is just captivating...
One of these bands I've always heard of but never really listened to, it's pretty intense stuff but I've been listening to a lot of indie-pop lately so it's nice to have something with a bit more depth to get my head around! |
