It's funny how the biggest selling artists in the world are Female, Madonna, Whitney Housten, Celine Dion, Britney etc. But in the rock world, and especially the 'punk' department where open mindedness is whats supposed to make the world go round, there is a distinct lack, and makes the idea of a female in a band a novelty or just something for men to ogle and shout at. Like Builders at a page three convention.

I could go on and on, but most of the bands I like are Garage Rock. Sympathy for The Record Industry and Lookout! Records have both brought out compilations where the idea is to have a female only artists, but sadly the make musicians out number.

Oh, teres also Zombina and the Skeletones playing the barfly on friday night, with an all girl tribute to the misfits downstairs from it.

I quite liked celebrity skin but then everyone with musical taste tells me that celebrity skin was overproduced overmanufactured pap, so I feel bad for liking it. I am too easily swayed by other people's opinions methinks.
