Defiance, Ohio (USA) Noisy, socially conscious folk punk played on acoustic guitar, upright bass, drums, violin, cello, and banjo. Defiance, Ohio are six kids steeped in DIY ethics and early American hardcore sentiment, yet their musical landscape rides the waves of new-grass and rootsy folk channeled through an alternative conscience and culture. Punk kids with banjoes and harmonicas, off-key vocals, barn ‘n backporch excellence.
Records on No Idea and Plan It X (home to This Bike Is A Pipebomb and Soophie Nun Squad, who have brought some of the most raucous gigs of the year so far).You can download their entire discography off their website.
Good enough to wash away the vile aftertaste of Against Me.

aye, it should be a good gig! They played before (Thats where I took the blurb from, think it was Cold Dead Hands that put them on).
