| Mood-altering Music Are there any tracks out there that, no matter how you felt prior to listening, never fail to put you into a certain kind of mood?
This one will ALWAYS leave me with a massive grin on my face.
Tom Waits' Martha, on the other hand, leaves me slightly sad, in a way that soppy movies and unhappy endings in books never do. |

Radiohead - Motion Picture Soundtrack (acoustic) always always always breaks my heart. Specifically the "I will see you... In the next life" bit. Don't even like the album version that much.

This always exacerbates whatever mood I'm in, it doesn't really make me happy or sad. If that makes sense? Weird, was talking about that the other night actually.
Anyway, this never fails to make me smile:

| Re: Mood-altering Music I'm a huge parrothead so just about any Jimmy Buffett song will put me in a better mood. Last Caress by the Misfits manages to put a smile on my fave no matter what mood I'm in. On the opposite end of the spectrum the song The night the lights went out in Georgia by Reba always makes me melancholy I suppose would be the word for it.
