The next single off of Black Lips' latest album 200 Million Thousand is "Drugs", due out in the UK August 24 via Vice. Which is great.
But the bigger story may be the flip side, which features Horrors lead singer Faris Badwan covering the Lips' "I'll Be With You" under his Lumina moniker. While the original "I'll Be With You" is a vintage old-school rock'n'roll jam, the Lumina version takes things in a decidedly more gothic direction. Its kinda cool but I wont be downloading it. It's far to goth for me. But i reckon Stuart Tattieboy and friends might dig it. |
