| Re: Spin magazine's top 20 hardcore bands. As far as I was aware, it is an American 'rawk' magazine of some repute, in the same vain as Rolling Stone. I remember the reference in G'N'Rs 'Get In The Ring'.
I'll leaf through a copy if I see one in WH Smith or something, and try and work out whether it's meant to be funny or not. The inclusion of proper hardcore bands makes me think that it's probably just sheer idiocy, though to be expected if it's a Reader's Poll.

I work in WH Smith and i've never seen it I don't know how easily you'll be able to find it over here.
Fugazi are definetly not hardcore more like post hardcore if you wanna be anal and label them.

| Re: Spin magazine's top 20 hardcore bands. oh dear god,
maybe it was supossed to be a list of bands that are more 'hardcore' than justin timberlake et al.
ok there's maybe 5 actual 'hardcore' bands on that list - a few nu-metal oiks, some pop bands and a couple of metal bands. does any1 know how it was compiled.
at least ptw, sick of it all, minor threat, eighteen visions and earth crisis are on it... |

| Re: Spin magazine's top 20 hardcore bands. Fugazi - IMHO, I stress - are 'proper' emo; ie, emotional hardcore. So there is perhaps an argument for them being present.
Certainly a better argument for them than Incubus et al.

[Point being, what a daft thing to say - just 'cos you don't like them, doesn't make them shite - because they're obviously highly competent musicians. You not liking them just means... you don't like them.]
