B. you're too comical to be taken seriously
before you tell me broaden my tastes, i've started already. i listen to everything from freestyle jazz, ambient and classical right through to grindcore, hardcore and death metal. it just so happens that taking back sunday and the used, among others, are a bit guff. trucker caps ahoy!

2. The quote "this wans new!" then "HEARD IT" before you had even played a note, was shouted at one of yer gigs by me and THERMO. So I just thought Id share.
Ive got plenty of different and "decently" wide tastes, but Unfortunatly I don't really like The used or Taking Back Sunday. Right Enough, this doesn't mean they are shit cause I don't like them. Point is, the magazine was talking about "hardcore bands" not "emo or emotional hardcore", just plain proper hardcore, which unfortunatly, both the bands you mention resemble fuck all of.
Id say they resemble, sound-wise, more like an indie band that use a distortion pedal at points.

you can listen to those bands if you want though, i just find them dull and devoid of artistic merit, but that's only because of my general tastes. my problem with these bands is that they've been passed of as emo, and now as hardcore, which is simply ludicrous. i know that i shouldn't really be so fussed about labelling music but for the purposes of this top 20 list i have to be a bit of an art nazi
