two or three bits of news:

1) I've somehow lost my beloved MrDankDonk account identity thingie..... it just refuses to accept the password

2) and after months of trying, I suddenly realised it'd be simpler just to re-register

3) I've got a horrible fucking cold this month

4) the new amphetameanies album, 'Now! That's What I Call... The Amphetameanies' came back from the pressing plant on Friday 13th October, a solid slacker year later than when I thought it'd be ready.

5) its in the shops (Avalanche Glasgow and Edinburgh) Monorailo, HMV Argyle Street) and the virtual shop (off the www.amphetameanies.co.uk site)


6) we're sorry it took so long, but to achieve the desired 'quality' at the necessary 'cheapness', we had to sacrifice vast amounts of 'urgency'



7) we are playing the 'aftershow party' for Rancid at the cathouse, next wednesday, free in before midnight with a rancid ticket stub.

i've got to bore people on the scooterboys forums about fuel poverty in tuned vespa engines; I'm rewriting the whole Star Wars saga in a Glaswegian setting across at theForce.net; there's my daily musings on self-grown herbs and moratlity across at the bored office workers forum

and don't even mention myspace. or fucking facebook for that matter.

I've barely got a spare minute to fanny about on music forums making half-assed efforts to promote my band.....

OF COURSE the new EP won't be back from the German pressing plant in time..... although we sent the materials weeks ago, apparently they didn'y check their FTP server for the artwork till the beginning of this week...

we are supporting Voodoo Glow Skulls at.....errr.... Ivory Blacks, wednesday 13th August.

there will be some new upbeat ska-dancey songs as well..... John Disco has somehow written five over the last week, and we'll get at least one or two of them in shape for the gig.

Fuckin' awesome - only noticed the 'Skulls were playing yesterday. How much are briefs?
