| Re: Racism at clubs? Of course, I was handed a leaflet outside a club and when I got home and emptied my pockets I found two pounds fifty and a tissue.

| Re: Racism at clubs? Didn't read the whole thread but is this a joke?
Rammstein are a SOCIALIST band
Their song "Links 2 3 4" is their response to some Germans that wanted them to be a right wing Fascist band
They also have other songs expressing socialist viewpoints
Get your facts straight

| Re: Racism at clubs? im in agreement that this is a total pisstake - a sad one at that, i used to work for a students union and i know just how outlandish their constitutions can be on political correctness and such. i wouldnt like to see a night get jeapordised in any way, or for any limits to be put on what can be played by the dj's.
furthermore, your complaint is pointless and based on absolutely nothing. its somewhat similar to saying ''i went home crying from the garage because i was so appalled at the amount of sexist nigger music they played'' - no offence intended.

A lot of bands in this scene use "nationalistic" imagery to put forward the idea or uniting people, creating a kind of comradery amougst the fans (i.e CombiChrist Army) or be it to put forward another way off looking at the world around us. Trying to compare the industrial genre to nazis is pathetic.
2. On a personal note, Panzer AG is not a pro-fascist project from Andy Leplegua - it is infact based around the non belief of our present society and the way in which the world is destroying itself. The dude has basically created the album to question god, politics, society and himself about the world in its present state. I mean theres great tracks like "Filthgod" which looks at basically why is god renouced as a saviour but stands back and does nothing to help his people. "This is my battlefield" basically his own torment of realising how fucked up this world is. "Behind a gasmask" the destruction of the world on a man made basis, be it bombs explosives, nuclear or biochemical weapons. The bands name is Panzer AG, if you know your German that means Armour Company. Which isn't in anyway refering to Nazis by using the word Panzer (as in the tank they used during WWII). I might be slightly BIAS on this subject, but I believe that he tries to create an industrial feel to his work by using more nationalistic imagery / music. It all goes part in parcel of coming from a country that built themselves from the ashes of WWI to becoming the most powerful nation in the world - by 1939.
I doubt any of the clubs DJ's are racist. There seems to have been a trend over the past few months by certain "sockpuppet" styled accounts to come on and slate the club. Its obvious this is yet another silly attempt to tarnish the clubs name.

I have never herd of this Panzer AG stuff before, but from your description I can see exactly why people would get the impression that he was was involved with facism.
A reaction against the current political system, nationalistic, glorification of war, rejection of religeon, if you look up a text book on political ideologies you will see that those are pretty much the key themes of facist ideology. Taking your name from a WW2 german tank division is hardly doing anything to position yourself away from facism.
This guy, facist or not, either knows that what he is doing is closely linked to facist ideology, or is a complete idiot.

| Re: Racism at clubs? Most guys in industrial bands are pretentious prats (though I prefer to consider myself a pretentious rotter) I think it's the only way that anyone could ever posssibly deadpan some of the lyrics.
I was going to give some Pointless Creation lyrics as an example but I'm embarassed now, listen to just about any industrial bands lyrics and the same logic applies.
