From what I've heard, the Acoustic series is actually pretty good for discovering new bands or even just good songs, although their definition of the word "acoustic" leaves something to be desired. You can get them in Fopp for a fiver.
Also, The Best of MTV Unplugged Volumes 1 and 2 are Absolutely Fucking Amazing, the version of "Like A Rolling Stone" is fifteen million times better than the original. The only CDs of my dad's I deem worthy enough to steal.  |
