| Re: DJ Books Your ideas bang on target
I've been djing pubs and clubs for the last 3 years or so, but the technique needs to improve with the new venue we've moved to, so I'm open to recommendations.
Cheers |

| Re: DJ Books Supposedly the best way to learn to DJ better is just sheer practise. Buy yourself some home decks, you can get a starter set for £200 and just burn all your music onto CD. Sort out all the track listings, make sure you know your music pretty good and then start learning to mix, beat match and even try a dab hand at live sampling if your brave enough.
Might actually order decks and speakers at the end of the month if I don't get my sexy PSP.

| Re: DJ Books DJin ebm/industrial isnt that easy because a lot of songs dont start with the steady intro of 4/4 beat.
but then again you can play the intros quietly and turn up the other deck when the beats kick in so you can have a beatmatch going
i like to start off with something obscure, then play an anthem or two and for the remainder keep it with new stuff but finishing off with some anthems!
my last mix cd peaks at 175bpm muhahahaha! |
