| Roadrunner Allstars Y'all have no doubt heard of the album that is in production to commemorate Roadrunner Records' 25th anniversary. Well, one of the songs has been let out the bag already. It's from Robb Flynn's 'portion' of the CD, called 'The Dagger', and features Howard Jones (Killswitch Engage) on vocals, Robb Flynn (The Mighty Machine Head) on rhythm guitar/backing vocals, Jordan Whelan (Still Remains) on rhythm guitar/backing vocals, Jeff Waters (Annihilator) on lead guitar, Christian Olde Wolbers (Fear Factory) on bass, and Andols Herrick (Chimaira) on drums. It's still only a demo, but you can download it here.
Fuck me, this album is going to kick ass.

| Roadrunner United - "allstar album" There are 2 official downloads kicking about online from this new all stars album and to be honest....well i've heard worse. I dont know how many folk even know about this album, but the two tracks are by two of the four teams involved....team flynn and team Jordison.
Team flynn is a down the line kick ass metal track, whereas the jordison one is the vein of death metal (my only bringe is that i hate glen bentons vocals)
anybody else heard this shit?? |

| Re: Roadrunner United - "allstar album" I was going to put this in the news section, but forgot: Quote:
The complete details have been announced for the upcoming ROADRUNNER UNITED "The All-Star Sessions" CD, due in stores on October 11, 2005, via Roadrunner Records. Boasting 57 artists from 45 of Roadrunner's past and present bands, the album will contain original tracks that are collaborations between numerous Roadrunner stars.
Four central musicians were originally chosen to produce and write the songs. Joey Jordison (SLIPKNOT), Dino Cazares (ex-FEAR FACTORY/BRUJERIA), Robert Flynn (MACHINE HEAD) and Matthew Heafy (TRIVIUM). These four musicians play on the songs they have written and have also assembled a unique team of artists to appear on each track. In order to cover as wide a spectrum as possible, no musician has played for more than one writer/producer and each song features a different vocalist.

| Re: Roadrunner United - "allstar album" I've heard The Dagger and it wasn't bad.
I was hoping to see a couple of the ex member of Sepultura getting together on a song.

| Roadrunner United The All-star sessions I just got it today and there are a fair good tunes on it.I wasn't sure whether to expect a total disaster or not but I reckon its a solid effort. Its pretty interesting to hear different muscians working together who don't normally.
There are a few poor songs on it but overall its solid.
What does everyone else think of it?

| Re: Roadrunner United - The All-star sessions Definitely a wothwhile experiment, all in all a good album.
Best tracks - The Enemy, The End, Rich Man, Blood And Flames, Army Of The Sun.
Shanners - In The Fire, Tired 'n' Lonely, Constitution Down, No Way Out.
Everything else is good at least.
IMO, of course.

| Re: Roadrunner United - The All-star sessions I don't wanna be a superhero is my favourite track after one listen, good to hear Michale Graves with a decent tune behind him again.
I like the album. Annahilation... would be a monumental track if it wasnt for Glenn Benton.
