2. Location - Anniesland, Glasgow.
3. How many times do you go clubbing a month? 3
4. Which day of the week is your preferred day? Saturday
5 .Would you prefer alternative club nights (i.e. Goth, Industrial, Underground Dance) to be available on more diverse days (e.g. Fridays, Sundays, Weekdays, etc)? Not really, I work full time so FRidays & Saturdays are ideal plus in my experince week nights aren't as busy..especially for alternative nights.
6. If yes, which days? N/A
7. What club/club night(s) do you most frequently attend (please specify up to three)? Bedlam, Cryotec, Cyberia & Cyberia (just to be awkward)
8. Would you travel to another city for a club night? Hehe, I regularly do with the Glasgow cre to Edinburgh
9. Do you feel satisfied with the range of alternative club event in your resident city? Not at the moment. Amatis is looking like it's dead, Cryotec hasn't a regular venue which leaves Bedlam once a month. This city is in deserate need ogf a new night....big style!!!
10. What factors are important to you in the creation of a good club night? (choose up to three)
1. Music..., personally.. fresh solid modern EBM/electronic/Industrial
2. Venue....a good venue makes such a difference...like the QM.
3. Great promotion which in turn creates a good overall vibe about the club
Good DJs
Genre Specific
Late opening hours
11. What promotions would make you most likely to try a new club night? (choose up to three)
Drinks promos
12. Where do you hear about new club events? (choose up to three)
Flyers Internet
13. In your opinion, does Glasgow need a new Industrial/ EBM/ Digital Hardcore club night?
Absolutely....with Glasgow and the surrounding areas having such a large population we are crying out for a new night...especially as highlighted earlier the lack of club nights at the moment. The scene has been steadily growing over the years and we need to satisfy it
14. Why do you think this?
Well, although I have noticed the Cathouse has recently been playing some of the music associated with Industrial/ EBM/ Digital Hardcore it is only a few tracks and not enough to draw people.....Bedlam plays a good amount but also plays goth and metal orientated music so there isn't really anything specific at the moment if you look at a few club nights currently not operating. It's a fantastik chance to build a legendary scene night here Dawn and I'm right behind you, raaa!
Thank yooooo! |

5 .Would you prefer alternative club nights (i.e. Goth, Industrial, Underground Dance) to be available on more diverse days (e.g. Fridays, Sundays, Weekdays, etc)? yup. Saturdays are always a pain in the arse though cos there's so many other things going on
6. If yes, which days? Friday
7. What club/club night(s) do you most frequently attend (please specify up to three)? Bedlam, Crotec, Cathouse
8. Would you travel to another city for a club night? yup, I'm trough in Edinburgh quite a bit
9. Do you feel satisfied with the range of alternative club event in your resident city? not really.
10. What factors are important to you in the creation of a good club night? (choose up to three)
Cheap drinks , Good DJs, Live Acts
Ambience
11. What promotions would make you most likely to try a new club night? (choose up to three)
Special guest/band ,Freebies
12. Where do you hear about new club events? (choose up to three)
Flyers , Internet , Posters , Peers
13. In your opinion, does Glasgow need a new Industrial/ EBM/ Digital Hardcore club night? yup, now Cryotec's kinda died it deff. needs a new one. Everyone's moaning about the lack of specific nights and are stuck going to the Cathouse or something instead.
14. Why do you think this? because every other blinking genre seems to have tons and tons of specific club nights. Bar Bedlam and Amatis and Cyberia, there aren't really any other ones without travelling miles and miles. |

I don't really see a genre specific unders night taking off considering how hard it is to keep the overs nights alive.
I'm sure StuntGirl can answer that better than me though cos obviously it's her night |

The problem with glasgow for alt nights is that most places already have popular nights at the weekends including fridays, and are not willing to have a new style of music played.
We are at the moment waiting for one venue in the town center, to say yes or no. their money people are crunching numbers, and all that business stuff.
I would dearly love to buy a building that would house an array of alt clubs. and am working on such athing just now after resently finding a building that would be perfect for clubs and gigs. just proving a bit difficult tracking down the current owners.
