AF Records is awesome. I only ever checked the label out as Thought Riot are on it.

But Thought Riot are no more though

sex pistols are a fun band haahah, ye a lot of sweet bands came out on af records.

I just think the Sex Pistols come across as boys from a posh boarding school being "rebels". It didn't seem like, they were being themselves. Like in interviews and stuff. And even though Joe Strummer went to boarding school, he in no way ever came across as that.

Plus Joe Strummer never fucking advertised fucking butter.

Naa he didn't. If you see any interviews, read any of the books (the big pink wan is the best, the only official one) you can clearly see Joe thought more about others than he did himself. Thats never the actions of a "posh boy". Even after kicking Topper out, he kept sending the cunt money from the tours. And a few days before his death, he met one of his band members from the Mescaleros, who was skint. Joe went to a hole and the wall, withdrew £500 and just handed it to him.

Joe Strummer will always be number 1.

Mate, your definitions of "posh boy" notwithstanding, he was a rich kid slumming it. I know you've got a heavy hard on for the guy, and you'd love to fuck his rotting corpse, but I don't think you understand the difference between "Being a dick" (which he wasn't) and "Being the upper class son of a diplomat who tried to be a bit gutter" (which he was).

I eagerly await another story of "One time he saw a homeless guy, and he bought him a house, that proves he's not a posh kid!" though.
