Re: November BEDLAM (the difficult middle child)

Darn! I always seem to miss the good Bedlams...

Hopefully, the Bedlam on the 16th now doesn't clash with anything and I might acually be able to go!

And considering the outfits they had on, they would have done within just a few minutes.

it was raining?

it was cold?

oh, erm, I didn't actually notice that, though it would explain why I ended up back home within half an hour of the place closing.

You did nothing apart from the groin thing.....but that was mostly Vikki and her warm hands and I think that may well have been my fault originally.

Yes that was much enjoyed by me! it gave me immense pleasure that you were as interested in the Pyrite/Ore formation in my Lapis Lazuli that i always carry about for luck!
Having since looked into it and the main componets are blue lazurite, sodalite with a matrix of calcite.
You were right the gold flecks are Pyrite, clever boy!
Who'd have thunk it talking geology middle of bedlam....
I'll bring you some more of my crystal and gem collection for your observation next time!
Ok mr wookie?

Re: November BEDLAM (the difficult middle child)

yeah no probs.

Calcite you say, keep it away from vinegar then.

Actually it's a metamorphic rock isn't it. sodalite is I think, hang on, I'll check me books,...... yep it's a chlorinated feldspar mineral which would explain the blue from the chlorine, and the pyrite (iron sulphides) formation would be indicative of a reducing environment. Chlorite minerals are pretty indicative of hot hot metamorphics, rather than hot squeeze.

I remember having a guess at a chromium based mineral for the blue, given the environment (guessed by the pyrite) it could well have been, but hey.

I think, it's been a while since I tutored that sort of stuff.
