I have procured Sat 25th May off so that I may attend this extravaganza for the first time in my puff! Was ment to be going to Ozzfest, but I am in so much fucking debt it's scary so cannot afford to go.

So instead I shall be attending th QMU. Just wondering if anyone else was planning to go?

I shall no doubt attempt to arrange a pre QM meeting point so I shall post again quite soon.

Bedlam great, music great, punters (mostly) cool BUT have had bother with the staff at the QM the last twice Ive been. On the night the clocks went forward they kept the bar open til 1am and at 5 past they came round and took peoples barely-touched drinks off them and poured them away - when we objected we were told to leave...well, physically ejected in fact...note that the night the clocks went back they didnt stay open an extra hour...and the door price was the same which I think was a bit of a rip off.

Next time was at the Soil gig which was an all ages gig so apparently hand-stamping was going on but the hand stamper was nowhere to be seen, and when I tried to get served at the bar I was refused because I didnt have a stamp on my hand!!! Im 30 f**kin years old and they refused to serve me!!!! So when I tried to get my hand stamped later, the teenager working the door wouldnt stamp me til I showed ID and she got well stroppy. How many 30 year olds carry photo ID Id like to know...?

So Im a bit pissed at the QM to be honest...

Yeah I was but the flattery only lasted about 10 seconds til I remembered I still wasnt gonna be able to get a drink!!
Anyway, she knew I was well over 18 - she was just being a witch. She did it to my 29 year old friend too.
What she (and the bloke who poured my drink away the week before) didnt know was that through my work Im regularly in contact with her boss, the union president and the licencing board. Ah well. Them's the breaks.
