They play the big tracks by these bands at the appropriate points of the night. Their job is to play fill the dancefloor and play requests. They do a fair job of both.Originally Posted by Trashbat
They do! Go to Bedlam during the first couple of hours, You'll find is the setlist is as cutting edge as anything in the UK. Many regulars avoid the early part, they go later for the biggies. You just have to recognise the tracks.Originally Posted by Trashbat
I've been to all of those nights and it is. It also has to cater to a monthly attendance thats bigger than the rest put together. You can be as experimental as you like with two blokes and a dog in a pub. You can't at 1.30 a bedlam with hundreds of people screaming at you for We Stand Alone or Headhunter.Originally Posted by Trashbat
And you would know how much they get paid to do Bedlam? I'm not sure the qm would be too chuffed with a packed venue full of burning candles. And if you need someone to buy you sweets ask your mummy.Originally Posted by Trashbat
As you point out there is a decent range of night in Glasgow and Edinburgh. If you dislike Bedlam as much as you seem to, why do you go? People do vote with their feet, and in Bedlams case they've been doing so in increasing numbers for about a decade now. Know off you go and troll for your mates somewhere else.
