The Young Knives - Voices of Animals and Men Tour 2006 - Pt11

November 4th: Debaser – Stockholm – Sweden

It’s fucking snowing!

I‘m still refusing to wear long trousers, but I’m giving it serious consideration today.
We’ve got loads of press on, so we’ve got someone from the Swedish office of the record company to escort us about. We’re off to the local university first, interview for the uni radio station, then another couple of uni things.

Martin gets to play with a digital Mixing Desk

Back at the venue it’s things as normal, usual day to day running of a show, doesn’t really make much difference what country we’re in.

Ollie beats his skins. Oooerr missus!

We all get slightly tipsy after the show as we’ve got all day in the bus tomorrow driving back to London. It’ll take all day, and a bit more.

November 5th: On the bus. All day.

It’s a bus. There’s not really much to do other that watch films and be bored.

November 6th: Warchild Gig – The Roundhouse – London.

I’m looking forward to tonite as we’re supporting Feeder, who I’ve worked with many times before. All the band and crew are good friends of mine so it’ll be a fun day.

Alex and his little brother

It’s a bit hectic as we don’t get to the venue until 4pm, and walk right into the middle of three film crews and a load of photographers, none of which are anything to do with us. Turns out the Sugababes are doing some stuff with Feeder tonite, so it’s a bit of a media circus.

We hang around waiting for them to soundcheck, which seems to take for ever, mostly on account of the Sugababes. It’s all a bit of a rush or us to get set up and soundchecked in time for doors opening, but we make it, just.

No time to relax because we’re onstage 30 minutes later.

Henry

The good thing about being the support band is that we’re all done and packed away by 9pm. Not long after that we’re on the bus back to the farm for a day off before flying back out to Norway.
