New Year
Posted 29th December 2004 at 1:39pm by Hevs
Im still half asleep. Kids are at their daddies till Friday so have been watching back to back Sex and The City on our new DVD player and its driving Kev up the wall
Only 2 days of 2004 left, and it seems the year has just flew past me. Got a surprising phone call the other night from my kids\' auntie - their dads sister. She wants to come over for a drink on New Years night as she says she has missed chatting to me - its been 5 years since me and her brother split up. I am proceeding with caution, although I used to be really good friends with her shes still his sister but it would be nice to pick the friendship up again after all this time. So New Years eve we are going over to my friends house with the kids for a wee party - nothing fancy just me and my lot and her and her kiddies. We will probably come home shortly after the bells so it will be a relatively quiet one. Nobody I know really does New Year anymore. I recall NY parties in my flat in Glasgow when I was in my early 20\'s. Loads of us would make our way down to the Cathouse in Brown Street after the bells and the place was always mobbed. We dragged my geeky flat mate out one year and he had a fantastic time. I also knew a guy who would sit in my flat with his carry out tucked under his legs refusing to touch a drop till the bells and then tanning it all in under half an hour
Ahhh good memories those
The parties back then lasted for days.
Ach well back to Sex and The City - think Im on series 3 now, only 3 more to go
