Well that hurt

I had an accident. Quite a bad one too and now Im in bits. Obviously Im not dead but I so could have been its quite scary.
I was up at the yard sorting out the transport for Sam to go to his new home and to pick up my new boy. The lorry came and I went to fetch Sam in from the field and I kinda lost my memory from there. Next thing I knew I was in hospital.
According to witnesses something spooked my boy and he freaked out, kicked me in the head and then ran, my arm got caught up in the line and I was dragged about 60 feet before he stopped. I was completely unconscious the whole time which is probably why I bounced rather than smashed my way along the yard. I didnt break anything but my skull was laid bare for all to see and I was completely torn down my right arm and across my stomach and chest. Even thought I was out cold, I was apparantly trying to get up and it took 4 people to hold me down while they waited for an ambulance. When it got there, they were convinced I must have broken something and put a neck brace on me which I then tried to pull off and then all I was interested in was making sure my engagement ring was still on my hand before finally conceding defeat and actually passing out. I remember none of this. I was x-rayed lots nothing was broken but I do expect to start glowing any day now.
So I have had a skin graft cut from my leg and put on my head, I look like something from a Frankenstein movie, or a goth show cause I look like I went daft with the purple eyeshadow - my right arm is bandaged up and my stomach is just ewwwy. I spent a week in hospital at the Southern General and am now housebound under Dr's instructions until I see him on Thursday. Cant risk getting an infection in my head.
My new horse has been picked up though and Sam is away to his new home. my Yard Owner arranged everything so I dont need to worry about anything. I cant go see my new horse never mind ride him though, but he is settling in nicely and is being well looked after. Mum has gone to the yard to take photies of him for me so that I can adore him from my bed.
The complete downside to this other than the almost dying bit, is that my wedding is now postponed till I get better. I was supposed to get married on 25th August and now Im not but Kev is being great and really only cares that I am OK. My poor boy has been through it this past few weeks and I think he is just glad Im home and alive. Every one of my wedding suppliers has been great about the rearranging of the wedding and we are now looking at a Spring wedding in 2008. I am signed off work for the foreseeable future and my office sent me a huge bunch of flowers which was nice of them. Apparantly, cause i have private health insurance through work, I get money for being in hospital, I look forward to spending that.
