4 weeks my arse

After seeing my surgeon last week and getting the go ahead to go see my horse, I promised my mum that I would wait another 4 weeks before attempting to ride again. I went to the yard on Saturday and spent some time with my horse, just grooming him and playing around with him, then I went to watch him take part in a riding lesson. Some guy was riding him and I took some photies and I desperately wanted to chuck him off, throw my riding hat on and get on him myself (the horse, not the bloke obv).

I couldn't wait any longer so I booked myself in for a riding lesson this morning and got on the horse It was great and my RI was crapping herself thinking that I might fall off. We kept it to walk and trot but half way in I was desperate for a canter but as Kev was watching I felt it best to keep it easy for my first time back in the saddle. I can't get the grin off my face and I just know my legs are going to be aching tomorrow seeing as my muscles on my legs are just plain dead at the moment but I had to do it. I spent 30 minutes in the saddle and for the whole time I forgot about everything, the accident, all the pain I have been through, the lot. It was just me and my boy and I absolutely cannot wait to get back up there and do it again
