It's that time again

Yup my birthday is looming on the horizon and I would have forgotten about it for at least another week if my mother hadn't gone on one her trips down memory lane and insisted on telling me tales of my birth.....again! Yup, I get this every year, and it never gets any more pleasant to hear. Just as well I have mastered the art of switching off while still appearing to be awake and hanging on her every word. Bless her, I love the woman to bits
My son is on holiday with his school this week - on an activity holiday. He left on Monday and it only took 9 hours for his head teacher to call me with the news that they had to take him to hospital and he now has a plaster cast on his arm - he only went and broke his wrist falling over his wellies in his room. He is staying for the duration though, he would be gutted if I wanted him home and he has been calling every night to let me know he is having an absolute blast so all is well.
The riding is going really well. Flat work is improving and he is turning out to be a great horse - total confidence in himself and nothing phases him. I hacked him out on his own today and he didn't bat an eyelid at anything even though it was really windy in the park. Jumping schooling commences in about 4 weeks
I hear Forbes has a club night on the go - might go check it out one week. My social skills are vanishing fast cause I am such an anti social cow these days
