If you should die before me, ask if you can bring

Posted 30th April 2003 at 12:04pm by Stu
Getting on a bit better with the job today, was by far more focussed on getting things done this morning but I've got a few more things to do and I feel like I'm going to de-rail myself any time now, so a wee break is in order. The problem with having a 24/7 connection in the office (which is unmonitored, because if anyone was going to monitor the office internet useage, it would be... er... me) that you can jump on to at any time, is that it's all too easy to say 'fuck it, I'll do it later', and...

Gimme gimme gimme back my brain

Yet another wasted day in the office. Headache still keeps coming and going, which in turn is making me feel really tired. Brain is wired up wrong at the moment I think... wish I hadn't just taken a week's holiday, because I could do with another one already...

Hung out with lots of cool people, met a whole bunch of new people, ran into people I haven't seen for a long, long time, and even had a blether with Mr Random Jon Poole himself. Cool. I was utterly shit-faced by the end of the WH's set though, I have no idea how much of a fanny I might...

The irony... not just something to press your trou

Just realised something, about the fact that I'm going to see the Wildhearts in the Barrowlands tonight, and that they last played there 8 years ago...

I was 18 in October 1995. I had left school 6 months earlier and had gone on to be an unemployed waste of a man, though the couple of years prior to that were a bit of a waste too, being a snotty punk kid as I was. I went to the WH gig, and got so caught up in the positive energy of it all (it was the 'we're not splitting after all!'...
