I'm royally fuckin' cream crackered today... mostly just sleep deprivation, but long days at work followed by some heavy-duty late-night band practice (including lugging a bunch of gear all over the place) has left me exhausted... and I have to play in a few hours, d'oh. Didn't help that no matter how tired I was last night after practice, I just couldn't sleep...

It's all good, though. I love it. Apart from the 'long work days' bit...

Nothing too exciting happening... you know those dreams you get where you're running away from something but no matter how hard you try to run you just don't get anywhere? Work's like that today. No matter how much of an effort I make, I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere... it's not helping that the upgrades all seem to be complete and every system we have is running like dogshit, because I tend to type/click through things quickly... so I'm trying to do things faster than technically possible...

Yeah, still too busy to think straight, and I can't even get my usual relief here in the office (switching off the world, switching on the internet) because we have our lead programmer over from Canada at the moment to help with a software upgrade on the 400. Not only am I uncomfortable around him because he's so much smarter than me, I'm annoyed at the fact he's sitting two feet beside me most of the day and can see everything I'm doing. At least I've got stuff to be getting on with... he'll...
