well it's been two weeks ...

...and I haven't quit and come screaming back with my tail between my legs so Im taking it as a success. Sort of. Obviously its not all taken immediately. England takes a while to get used to. Especially the amount of comments I get about my accent???? What accent I say
Jobs alright - alot of weeding/pruning/staking and such the like. I suspect im leaning more towards the fruit and veg side of things so that'll be my path at college. Designing someone else's garden just holds no sway for me.
I can't get cheesy pasta anywhere!!!!!! I have a MASSIVE ASDA hypermarket at the end of my road and I STILL cant get any. What's up with that?? Not amused! Did get some cheap gardening tools though so can't complain too much (yet). The making friends part is harder than I anticipated. All my workmates live in places other than Watford so drinks after work are a no-go. Flatmates seem nice but they've all got their own mates plus I work rather antisocial hours (bed at half10 does not a fun night out make!) The boy keeps telling me "you've got mates" then reeling of a list of his mates. He doesn't quite get it I don't think.
Things on that front are alright - or, atleast, will be if I stop over-analyzing everything (it's a most annoying trait). Still hard to get time together but, with shift patterns the way they are, what can you do 'cept head down and get on wi' it. Sometimes it feels like I saw him more when I lived 400miles away. Or, atleast, he put more effort in when I was 400 miles away. Man, I make him sound horrible and he's not. He brought me a dvd player the other day - that was nice.
Im really tired all the time. I forgot how exhausting physical labour is. I totally veg the minute I get it. Need to make a go of the garden soon though - the landlord was round fixing the fence for me this week so I really have to start sorting things.
I think I got sunburned today :s
