Rated M for Mature

Hello internet journal thingy.
So, my wee sister introduced me to this "Bebo" thing, having long since lost interest in the internet I just signed up to send her a message. In the process I discovered a bunch of people I used to go to high school with are signed up to the thing, so I spent some time browsing and saying hi. The experience has been absolutely horrifying.
No, not that the people I used to know all those years ago are horrifying, they're looking pretty good. It just sort of made me realise my age. You keep these snapshots of people in your head, of how you remember them. You don't see them go on to have their own lives over the years. You may not even realise you've been living your own life for all these years. I find it somewhat unsettling to see all these familiar names and somewhat familiar faces... of people who are in so many ways now complete strangers. I look at them only to be reminded of an even bigger stranger - me, aged 18.
I'll be coming home for a visit on October 24th, if all goes as planned. Should be... interesting. I'm sure my 3 year old mental snapshots are much closer to the real thing than my 15 year old mental snapshots of my high school days... I'm kinda curious to see how I stack up in comparison to people's mental snapshots of me.
