Nothing ever changes but the shoes

Just when you think certain things can't get any worse... they all turn around and you come out top after all.

Seems like all my stressing out about what's going to happen from my 'get up everyone's noses' attitude here in the office the other day has actually paid off. I've had some apologies this morning, along with some positive words that when you put in the right order read something like this;

"Well done Stu, you were right all along."

Ha fucking ha.

Still, best not to get an over-inflated ego at the moment, that never does anyone any good... time to knuckle down and get down to business.

There's something else still really upsetting me at the moment, though... something that someone's said recently, and I can't believe they'd have that impression for so long without telling me, because it's wrong, and I'm actually quite offended by it... it's been chewing away at me all night.

Or at least, they'll try..."

And that's all I'll say about that just now, because I now very much know that this kind of thing doesn't belong on a public journal. Sorry folks... it's your own fault for reading this crap!

Didn't get to see Mangara last night for various personal reasons. Sucks to be me, I really wanted to go...

Not much to do this weekend, apart from a bunch of MiNUS3 stuff... thought that's probably just as well because I'm so unbeliveably short of cash just now... my finances are so fucked you'd be hard pushed to believe I have full time employment in IT. I'll probably be able to shake it all off come the end of February, that's been the plan for a while... it'll be nice to throw money at things I actually want rather than at people who will probably break my thumbs if I don't get up to speed with where my money's going.

Janette got a whole new floor in her house (a basement, actually) and has decided to use it to store and display her impressive collection of outfits... the whole thing's starting to look like an underground clothing warehouse, it's really cool. It sucks though, because it only cost her about 50,000 bells... whereas I went for a small house expansion, just making my bungalow a little bit wider... and it cost me 400,000. See what I mean about finances? I can't even begin to think about getting myself a wee basement until I pay that lot off, and that could take months... grr...
