The weekend is over too quickly, damnit. And as predicted, after Friday's 'move' here in the office (physical work for a change, involving lugging PCs around and wrapping yourself up in a moutain of cables) Monday morning has seen a serious increase in people with hardware problems. Most of them are their own fault, right enough...

As predicted, the new Gamecube Zelda has become a second life, so I'm not as into everything in "the real world" as I should be. Seriously, I must have put 30 hours or so into the game already, which probably can't be healthy. It's just too good... that's what most of Thursday and Friday night was all about, anyway... and by the time it was around 6pm Saturday afternoon and I still hadn't pulled myself away from it except to go to work/eat/sleep/shit, Janette's patience was wearing a bit thin I think... she's usually well into the games I play, she totally loves the Zelda games, and she had a ton of work to do for her crit today, but I crossed the line a bit I think...

It's true what they say, gamers really do have two jobs. Except I have three, because I'm in a rock n' roll band. Cool.

Satuday night, Cuff & Joanne's engagement party. You've got to respect a man who will dedicate thanks to Club International magazine, and his fiancé, for providing him with his fix of huge tits every day... in front of all her family, at his own engagement party. Cool. Lots of friends there to catch up with, people I haven't seen in ages, it was like a reunion of all the old Trader Joes crowd, so it was quite poetic that the party was there. The group split into three or four by closing time, so me and Janette headed to the Cathouse with Meech, Martin and his missus Emma. I hit the booze pretty damn hard... I'm sure I had a good time, but there was probably no need for me to drink so excessively. The whole night sort of flashed past, don't remember much about it, and I'm dreading finding out how much money I spent... I don't go to the Cathouse much these days though, if ever... so I guess it's all good. Plus I do remember 'dancing' with Janette to the last song, which was 'Children Of The Grave'... or rather, she did me the honour of standing on the dancefloor (she doesn't dance) while I fell around like a fool. Funny at the time, I'm sure.

Sunday, I paid the price. I missed most of Sunday... which is frustrating, because I had tons of stuff I wanted to do, but I was just too ill/tired to do it. I still feel really crappy, if that's any testament to how much I had to drink on Saturday... but as if the weekend wasn't short enough, the day was pretty much a write-off. I wanted to go out again, too... bah. You think I'll learn?

Today, work sucks and I can't be bothered. I think I may have got out of the wrong side of bed this morning, I'm in a fucker of a mood. Some things never change...
