Apart from the fact it was a bank holiday weekend and I was nowhere near a PC with an internet connection fast enough to be worth bothering with, I haven't been in the mood for this journal malarkey recently. I don't think I have anything interesting to say, I'm not really in the mood just now for sharing all my personal woes with the world (reading all these self-deprivating journals on the internet, it's a big fucking cheesy cliché), and I can't make a funny journal like Barlows because I'm not imaginative enough.

I've kind of lost my motivation for a lot of things recently, actually.

On with the bland...

Spent most of the weekend covered in Vaporub because I'm having serious trouble breathing. I'm all choked up, I'm thinking from hayfever, which would be easy enough to deal with if it wasn't for my lungs being full of disgusting green stuff, leaving me coughing my head off for hours at a time. It was particularly nasty last night, hardly got a wink of sleep from all the nasty coughing fits. Not so bad at the moment, but it probably will be later...

Janette took me out for dinner last night, we went Chinese, which was very tasty... not exactly the diet I've been trying to stick to recently though, considering Meech brought me in a Whopper meal earlier in the day out of the blue (and you just can't turn down free food). Ah well, all good things in moderation, it was nice to go out for a change too. Got home and watched all 3 hours of 'The Green Mile', great movie that she hadn't seen (she seemed to think it was a war movie for some reason, she doesn't like war movies)... then attempted to get some sleep, though said coughing fits made sure no-one in the building did.

Our shower at home is busted, I'm clueless so I guess I'm waiting for Meech to fix it. I usually don't have the patience to have a bath, but I have to in the meantime, else people won't be able to come near me from the stench of man sweat and Vaporub.

Using Minus3 tracks as a custom soundtrack to the GTA games on PC amuses me. Probably played too much of both GTAIII and Vice City this weekend, I now have the urge to go steal some cars.

Got a gig to play tonight... as usual, completely unprepared. Need to get the band together in one place, never mind actually getting there and playing anything resembling a decent set. I don't even have my guitar, it's at Janette's flat, so I've got some running around to do after work. I'm sure it'll be alright on the night, I'd just rather be doing this at the weekend or something. Plus there's the whole issue with my thoat...

On the subject, I quit smoking. It's driving me fucking nuts.

It's not that I have too much work to do today, it's just that I can't be bothered with it. Guess I should get it all finished soon, there's a few things outstanding that really shouldn't be.
