If you check the national statistics for unemployment rates, there is a decline in unemployment in the mid-late to late 90s onward. We don't have 100% employment, this is true but we don't live in a communist state. The 1st link gives data from 1971-2004 and the second link is for current data. The unemployment rate is currently 5.5% compared to a whopping nearly 12% in the 1980s. Suppose it all depends on your definition of mass unemployment and where/what your sources are..doesn't it? http://www.statistics.gov.uk/article...l/Analysis.pdf http://www.statistics.gov.uk/cci/nugget.asp?id=12 Quote:

*not litterally (can't say i wasn't close, though!) | Very true - I've had abusive customers myself of course (I do work in a bank after all) and although I'm nothing but polite/cowardly to their faces, my response when they leave tends to be worded a little stronger than "Well that was an unpleasant fellow wasn't it now?" - and I mean that when talking to the manager directly, who has witnessed the whole thing and quite possibly intervened.
I don't mind saying publicly a few RBS customers are arseholes, because it's the same anywhere and I know that the description "arsehole" does not reflect the infinite majority of RBS customers, much in the same way that Louise wouldn't and isn't applying it to anything other than an infinite minority of Cathouse customers.

If you don't mean it, don't write it and if you do mean it then don't whine about it. It's rare that I find anything you type of interest for anything other than calling you on the nonsense that it generally is, but if I want to quote you, I will.
Course, you could always run off and ask for it to be deleted....couldn't you
