Obviously not, I'm making the simple point that those punters looking for cheap booze aren't going to stop going to Rev given most drinks will ordinarily be double the price.

your forgetting something, the people that arent students or dont know students, or simply the people who for whatever reason dont like the rev, or fancy a change, just because its more expensive (and even then its not exactly astronomical prices anyway) doesnt mean people wont go.

just because you probably wont go to it, doesnt mean it'll fail

Yeah, sounds a bit mediocre but it's getting harder to find people to sign me and my friends into Rev. I guess we'll be at the Cathouse on the occasional Tuesday when we can afford the drinks.

What the hell? Exactly when did I say it would fail? I simply said that financially it had no chance of competing with Rev, implying that those looking for a cheap night - and plenty base their nights out on the cheapest option - would not be dissuaded from Rev. That's all. Not that it would fail. Not even that I wouldn't go. Just that some people might not on the grounds that the prices are easily double that of an alternative.

well to be fair, someone who goes out as much as addy would have to go to clubs that has cheap booze.

unless he's made of gold.

which is unlikely.

but aye, i think that week rev will be quiter for ppl who want to sample this new night, but in the long run i still think rev will have the majority of the alternative crowd.
