| Re: Dear Catwalk They should let folk know if they dealt with the long list of complaints (pests, kitchen hygiene, etc) from their health & safety report, viewable on the council's website.
Thanks to that report, (and chats with ex kitchen staff) I don't eat there, and always advise others to rethink if they were going to.

the inspection, it was noted that you are using the CookSafe manual in full. (Article 5(1))
Temperature Control
Generally satisfactory at the time of the inspection.
Contamination Prevention
2. The bare wooden internal surfaces of the ice machine require to be removed and replaced with
a smooth impervious, non-absorbent, washable material. (Article 4(2) and Annex II, Chapter
II.1(f))
Cleaning/Cleanliness
3. The ceiling, pipe work and walls above head height require to be cleaned. (Article 4(2) and
Annex II, Chapter I.1)
4. The internal surfaces of the ice-machine require to be cleaned/disinfected. (Article 4(2) and
Annex II, Chapter VII.4)
5. The surfaces of the wash hand basin in the bar area requires to be cleaned. (Article 4(2) and
Annex II, Chapter I.1)
6. It is recommended that the ice scoop should be stored as directed in the leaflet (ICE - Hygienic
Ice Production – Storage and Service which is enclosed) i.e. Both scoop and the container
should be kept in a clean place. The scoop should be stored in sanitiser solution which should
be regularly changed.
Personal Hygiene
Generally satisfactory at the time of the inspection.
Food Hygiene Training
Generally satisfactory at the time of the inspection.

Stock Control/Food Protection
7. A number of containers of decanted and prepared foods in the storage refrigerator did not have
labels to indicate when they were decanted from original packaging or made up by staff.
It is recommended that dates are included on all decanted / made up foods for staff guidance.
It is further recommended that expiry dates are incorporated into these labels for stock rotation /
food safety purposes.
Pest Control
8. The missing drain cover in the lower bottle storage area adjacent to the bar requires to be
replaced to stop the ingress of pests. (Article 4(2) and Annex II, Chapter IX.4)
Structure/Maintenance/Waste Control
9. The gap at ceiling to extraction canopy junction in the kitchen requires to be sealed. (Article
4(2) and Annex II, Chapter II.1(c))
10. The damaged seal on the door of the Williams refrigerator requires to be replaced/renewed.
(Article 4(2) and Annex II, Chapter II.1(f))
11. The hole in the floor in the upper cellar area adjacent to the Polar Flow cooling unit requires to
be repaired and then surfaced with a smooth impervious, non-absorbent, washable material.

12. The hole in the ceiling in the ice machine room requires to be repaired and then surfaced with a
smooth impervious, non-absorbent, washable material. (Article 4(2) and Annex II, Chapter I.1)
13. The broken surfaces of the concert floor around the pipes in the lower storage area adjacent to
the ice machine require to be repaired. (Article 4(2) and Annex II, Chapter I.1)
