    10 Hour Paddy Pop - 14th March

It’s time once again for our 10 hour long Cheesy Pop extravaganza - only this time it’s 10 Hour Paddy Pop.

Starting on Friday 14th March at 8pm (with free Guinness hats for the first 50 people) and lasting right through until 6am the following morning, it’s an occasion not to be missed.

Limited advance tickets are available for £5 members and £6 non-members, and £7/£8 thereafter.

    The Cuban Brothers
The Cuban Brothers are unique. Born of the loins of seventies Havana, nurtured on a diet of soulful, sexy tunes and inspired by Cuban historical fact and mythology - their fresh approach to live entertainment whips up a frenzy at every gig they do, whether it be Glastonbury, Bestival, the Gumball Rally, or even their gigs for Robbie Williams, Elton John or Richard Branson. Their legendary performances evolve with every show and combine music, riotous comedy, both physical and observational, and sensational dancing - consequently the energy at every show is incredible.

    Roller Disco
It’s once again time to dig out those sweat bands and leg warmers and get your skates on. The fun way to let your hair down and party on is now being relived.

Daring to be different, the Roller Disco is turning the idea of traditional clubbing on its head and in its place is creating a fun, friendly atmosphere aided by great music.

    Paddy Face Off
Take a break from dancing and join Nick and Jenny as they take to the stage in Jim’s Bar for a very special Irish edition of the Friday Face Off. Give yourself a rest from ‘jigging’ and get your team together to be in with a chance of winning some much needed drinks (and other awesome prizes) for the long night ahead!

    Father Ted Marathon
Feck off to the TV room to join Father Ted, Dougal, Mrs Doyle, Jack and the rest for a marathon and a cup of tea. The TV room on the 3rd floor will be transformed into a cinema of “drink” and “arse” for 10 hours of Irish Comedy. Go on, go on, go on, go on, GO ON!!!!!!

We’ve also got free Guinness hats for the first 50 people, so make sure you arrive early. Don’t forget the legendary DJ Toast will be playing all your Cheesy Pop favourites for a whole 10 hours.

Do we have a source on this? Other than people assuming it because most bars have realised that a Monday'll be a rubbish time to have what should be one of their busiest nights of the year?

Edit: Checked up, turns out it gets moved if it coincides with 'holy week'.

St Patricks day during Lent would be dull.

^^^ are you implying you think "paddy" is offensive, Dec?

(I got into all sorts of trouble for making a flyer that instead of Cheesy Pop said Cheesy Pope and had a picture of the pontiff waving from his popemobile, as he used to, with a big wedge of cheese superimposed into his hand. Sigh.)

Not really. Just do what the majority of the population do, and ignore lent entirely.

Hell, even those that observe it are weak and lacking in willpower, so provided it's not in the first few days, they've have caved by the time SPD rolls round.
