Mardi-Gras cheesy pop tonight! (fri 27-feb-09)

remiss of me to leave it until two hours before the event to post this, but our friends at southern comfort have chucked some fun stuff our way to help get us in a party mood.

so if you're fed up of the slightly dreary glaswegian february, come join in our afro-cuban-latino-dixie-peurto-salsa fun ! (ie i'm not sure exactly what to play to fit the mardi gras theme, but i have a whole new album of bossanova style michael jackson records and i'm not afraid to use it

)

if you're not already sold, i'm digging out THE COLOURFUL SHIRT and taking along an array of congas, bongos, cowbells and a double-headed wooden agogo - where else are you gonna get that on a friday night?

it promises to be a gay old time, so hope to see some of you shortly.

omitting this kinda stuff is why i play records rather than organise PR i guess.

*not actually, but cheap. like, i always laugh when i get my change when i buy a round cos they seem to give me most of the money back.
