In other news, I've put together a new band with ex-B*Movie Heroes bass player, Dave. 'The Cult of a Thousand Dead Kings' as we will be known, will be recording soon with ex-Amen drummer Luke J and an as yet un-named singer. Think Zeke-meets-the Bronx-meets-Backyard Babies ... high octane rawk'n'roll!
Its all go ....
Fun while it lasted ...

Hubba hubba. If you need a bassist that can't play, or a singer that can't sing, who lives in the wrong city at the other end of the country... give me a shout.Originally Posted by Dave_CherryKick

I'll bet its the first time Danny McCormacks ever uttered the words,
'by jove - he's a bit uncouth is he not?'

The Smashup, I've got an album by them to review. In relation to the actual topic, nice one.

Fun while it lasted ...
"A gentleman drums with careful discretion and a pleasant air of decorum. He does not thrash at his kit like a working class fishwife beating her filthy offspring."
Etc.

Indeed. We have a gentleman's agreement with a relevant public relations contractor, leading me to confidently state that a certain Mr Staleworth shall be attending the Glasgow leg of this perambulation to pen a review. I am sure that his rapier like wit can find ample target in the person of Mr Herdman.Originally Posted by Kenny

I take it you mean The Earl of Herdman... and the Duke of Craig.
Ten points and a bag of peanuts if you get the movie reference.

Nah, straight over my head I'm afraid. I don't like peanuts anyway, so no great loss.

Looks like its to be the final 3CR tour too (from their website):
To 3 Colours Red fans:
It has become apparent there are rumours suggesting the band is to split after the upcoming UK tour. Therefore, we think it is only fair to put you all in the picture.
After a career spanning 10 years, we realise we have taken this band as far as we can, and have decided to call it a day. It is now time for us to look at other things, and to pursue different projects.
We would like to thank you, the 3 Colours Red fans for your support and dedication through all of this and look forward to getting out there one last time for what should hopefully be a great, but final UK tour.
Thank you for reading,
Keith Baxter,
Paul Grant,
Chris McCormack,
Pete Vuckovic.

Shame, but they've had a good run. I had a beezer of a time last time they played Tut's.

Me and Russell went down to London for the Camden show when they reformed years ago. I don't mind admitting I've been in a bit of a state now and again, but this was ten fold anything my body's ever experienced. Started on a 3 litre box of red at 6am. Slept outside King's Cross train station.
I feel we should mark their last tour with a similar ritual.
