really nice venue you got there. Never seen it before but looked impressive last night.
Respect to the dj playing his first gig at a launch night and pulling off a 4 hour set! Heh, brutal.
Wash, Rinse, Never Repeat
Dropped in briefly to see how it was going last night, it seemed to be all right. Felt a little out of place but it was good to walk into somewhere that proclaims to play indie rock and not immediately hear the bloody Kaiser Chiefs and other identical bands. Good stuff!
Lack of Kaiser Chiefs is always a good thing.
Do it or don't. I've got places to be.
Here, I had a pure horrible experience the other day, I heard a song on XFM and thought "hmmm this is pretty good, i've never heard of this band before..."
I was the bloody Kaiser Chiefs new song. It is really quite decent. It does hurt to admit it though.
Also, Tam Coyle is doing this? Is that the guy who used to do wed at the QM years ago? he was always dour as fuck, but played amazing music. I remember having a debate with him about whether you could dance to the velvet underground. I'm sure i remember that more fondly than he does.
*edit* i'm sure I went in one night and he was actually reading the paper in the booth. What a guy.
