really nice venue you got there. Never seen it before but looked impressive last night.
Respect to the dj playing his first gig at a launch night and pulling off a 4 hour set! Heh, brutal.

Dropped in briefly to see how it was going last night, it seemed to be all right. Felt a little out of place but it was good to walk into somewhere that proclaims to play indie rock and not immediately hear the bloody Kaiser Chiefs and other identical bands. Good stuff! | |

Here, I had a pure horrible experience the other day, I heard a song on XFM and thought "hmmm this is pretty good, i've never heard of this band before..."
I was the bloody Kaiser Chiefs new song. It is really quite decent. It does hurt to admit it though.
Also, Tam Coyle is doing this? Is that the guy who used to do wed at the QM years ago? he was always dour as fuck, but played amazing music. I remember having a debate with him about whether you could dance to the velvet underground. I'm sure i remember that more fondly than he does.
*edit* i'm sure I went in one night and he was actually reading the paper in the booth. What a guy.

This week you'll see us moving forward.
The vibe at DtD has always been about great music and that includes the best in local talent, unsigned acts and the newest acts around.
So now we're expanding this to include live acts. Every week we'll have live bands to perform, then as soon as the last note is struck, we'll let the DJ take over and deliver the tunes into the night.
