| Open Mic Night 2nd, 16th and 30th March Glasgow is one of Europe’s most exciting places in which to experience and create new music, but how does a budding musician go about getting seen and heard? One great way is to play open mic sets, but isn’t it all the better to perform in an excellent venue which is popular in its own right? WELL, look no further, as the newest addition to the pack of pubs and clubs offering open mic nights is set to be the BEST.
There’s good news for all singer/songwriters and live new music enthusiasts: the Classic Open Mic Night, Glasgow’s brand-spanking new, free (and probably greatest) regular open mic session begins on Monday, 2nd March. The Classic Grand’s lower floor offers an incredible, intimate space in which to enjoy playing and listening to varied, high-quality live music.
In this, the first month of Classic Open Mic’s, we couldn’t make it easier to participate. On (Mondays), 2nd, 16th and 30th March, the show kicks off at 5:30, so punters and performers alike can come by straight after work! FREE PIZZA will be made available to help pep up the old Monday blues, and some really fantastic guest hosts are scheduled to appear. So... What are you waiting for?! Dust off that old acoustic and get practicing because your favourite Glasgow venue needs you! If you want to play at The Classic Open Mic, send an email with your phone number and email address to ally@classicgrand.com.
For more information simply go to www.classicgrand.com, www.myspace.com/theclassicgrand where info about this, and all our other clubs and live events is available.
