| Re: Bamboo NEWS: Times they are a changing - part 2 - the sequel Imagine running more than 2 nights in the same venue..the shock of it. I hope none of you go, that way my campaign to get the club name changed from Alternative Nation stands an even better chance |

3 nights in a row, exactly the same, | Except another point of the Thursdays was that you could request some more unusual things and get them played, a rather more difficult task on Saturday. I still remember walking in one Thursday and hearing Zappa blasting out the speakers. BEST. |

Ho hum | Since you don't really attend many of the night won't really change much for you .
Anyway it's not 3 nights, we now have 4 nights in the Classic Grand. Yes it's something we would rather have avoided but it also makes sense people now associate the music with the place so it's time to embrace it rather than worry about being pigeon holed, anyway there are only a few die hard's in the world that will do 4 nights in a row. Plus over those four nights the music does change, unlike pop it's pretty easy to mix up a set from night to night with so many genres to choose from.
Still I'm going to miss Bamboo, loved the place and loved Harvey's Room and would have liked to have heard more of DJ Toast but as Barry said the feedback wasn't good from those on the night and the room just didn't feel right to him. I'm sure Bamboo will do just fine without us anyway, they got a great crowd last week and will no doubt get a blistering crowd this week over the easter weekend which is a great kick start to a new night.
I'm going to miss the staff too Jen, they are all cracking.

| Re: Bamboo NEWS: Times they are a changing - part 2 - the sequel Right, I see no reason why you can't just slide Dec into the first floor ONE night of the week and let him play Prince, Devo and Blondie to his (and our) hearts content.
