| Re: Free Friday - Times are tough Absolute belter. Atmosphere downstairs was amazin'. Loads of dancing done to brilliant tunes. Epic failure at moonwalking by everyone. Brilliant. I was gazebo'd.

| Re: Free Friday - Times are tough I'll accept full blame for this. I'm always like "Aye gies 5" when the Catty flyer team come round whether I'm going or not. Ideal roach size. The inferior shape of the AN passes lead to wastage . |

| Re: Free Friday - Times are tough I was there last night. for about 15 minutes.
Was walking down the street with my mate and got handed a flyer, so went along, as it was free anyway.
Maybe i'm missing something, but the flyer said 'damnation' - I was assuming as well as a play on words on 'altnation', this was indicative of the type of music that would be played?
Anyway, from my point of view at least, the music was terrible, so me and my mate finished our drink and went elsewhere.
Not meaning to annoy anyone who may be reading this who has something to do with the place, but for the time I was there, it was a bit of a letdown. I imagine the people here who are regulars there will enjoy it, but purely from an 'outsiders' perspective, it wasn't up to much. |

| Re: Free Friday - Times are tough I find it hard to beleive that you got a good indication of the type of music was being played, on both floors, in 15 minutes.

I ask because I've done the exact same thing in a nightclub before! |

| Re: Free Friday - Times are tough Adrenalize - don't take offence - just giving my opinion.
Kenny- From the flyer I expected the music to be pretty heavy. Maybe it's just a case of expectation. The look and title of the flyer gave the impression (to me and my mate anyway) that the music was going to be pretty heavy.
Only there for 15 minutes because the music wasn't what we both (me and my mate) expected.
Purely from a business perspective it seemed misleading, as the flyer, like I said, implied something that it wasn't when I was there. Maybe I was there at the wrong time.
Like I said, just giving an outsider's perspective. I agree, regulars are the backbone of a business, but newcomers are also needed to spread word about and get a new crowd coming (otherwise it wouldn't be free entry, would it?). I'm not going to say anything negative about the place if someone asks me as I wasn't there long enough to pass judgement, all i'm saying is it isn't what I expected when given the flyer for the short time I was there. |
