So we allowed to slag off the catty again. Personaly i like having the option of both the catty and the classic. My mates like the catty so i normally head along there these days. No brillaint but its all about compnay really when having a night out. Its muppet that DJs downstrains innit? so its nomrally decent. I like the classic too i demand more dec though, thursday are good in there. I personaly would really like dec to get a r n b set, if advertised enough it would drawn enough i think.

I did think its rather cheeky of the catty to do that but in the business word there is no friends. I have found it difficult to get classic passes off the PR staff sometimes, i asked for some and they said they didn't have any left then my pal went up and she got 6. I need bigger boobs

So when i suggest the classic they just mention that and i can see why they would be annoyed. I forgot what the fuck im on about but aye change is good and like pete said, cool it on the guy a wee bit its good for forbes to get the feedback.

PR wise the staff have cottoned on quite quickly to who just takes passes then walks into the cathouse, it's a shame that it makes them far less interested in giving these people passes. Free Friday on the other hands allows everyone entry and I'm always a phone call away if you want a Guestie, I'm nice sometimes .

As for having a dig at the cathouse, it's just PR, they want to accept our passes thats fine I'll use that to my own advantage, it is silly though because they have ZERO control over the number of passes I put out and there is NOTHING to stop me standing beside the club giving every single customer on the way in a pass.

Maybe that's something that could be obviously marked on the flyer i.e. a split-design flyer or something (i.e. 'floor 1 - emo; floor 2 - industrial' or whatever?)? Or maybe I just walk around with my head in the sand lol If it did mention the two levels on the flyer, then maybe it should be made more prominent, as with me and my mate (as with most people i'm assuming), we looked at the image, looked at the title, and said 'yeah let's give it a go'.

Cheers guys. Like I said, no harm intended. Just giving a first impression of the place as I hadn't been before, and wouldn't have known about it if I wasn't handed the flyer in the first place.

I think you've been very patient and helpful in giving your opinion here. Basically what you're saying is not that you had a problem with the club/venue or in fact the DJs or music, but that the promotional material was bad?

I'd have to say I've had the same problem. Obviously I don't need free passes, mainly as I don't socialise in the Classic Grand, in fact I can name 4 times in the last year that I have. I'm taxi driver to Douglas. I was however out one night with a friend & 6 people who just happened to engage tigger (AKA Mandy), mentioned they were looking for passes so she suggested I could get them. I don't carry passes, as already mentioned, I don't need to. Thought I'd ask PR under the bridge as we were passing on route BUT I was advised by PR (heftily busy stuffing his face with chips) "none left". No biggy to me, I got the 6 people in on a guest list instead (or rather I told Forbes at the door to add them to the guest list please as they were unable to obtain passes), but I totally agree with you on this one Danny. I guess that is also down to who you approach, cos I've got big boobs as well

I'd also agree with Dec DJ'ing more, but you do know that he DJ's 3 out of the 4 nights the club is open? He's also done the hip/hop night on a Tuesday (next one is August, I think so you should head along to that) and will hopefully be doing some more in the very near future.

I've never been to bothered with getting passes or guestlists, i could ask to go on and i know if i texted forbes he would do it nae bother but i just dont like doing, unless i was skint maybe. So forbes when you getting podium dancers? coz i think me in pvc hotpants could really work for your club.

I've never stopped people commenting on a club, apart from when we were just new and it seemed to cause distress, that everything was negative about it. Still don't do it in the classic forum .

Forbes has already offered to give you a guest list if you just ask. I'm sure any problems with PR that are raised here or elsewhere are taken note of and acted on (Forbes deals with PR and he's already welcomed constructive criticism as a tool for the club to use and then improve in areas that need it). So it's always worthwhile to give your opinion, good or bad. The other alternative is to go on facebook..if you feel guilty then answer the comp questions and win a guest list.

Kirstens right, all feedback, positive and negative is taken on board and acted on as required. We already have a few new flyer designs which are just waiting on our stocks to run out, so I'll take the points mentioned in this thread on board when laying out the back .

Agreed. Pr's are there to PR not eat or withhold passes for mates. Something I'm rather harsh on if I find it happening.

Just depends, they might have run out of passes early and if they saw you were a regular gave me a text.
