The first Pin Up Nights of 2009 following our sold out Hogmanay Ball (pictures of the action are here - http://www.pinup-nights.co.uk/galler...s.php?album=35 ) is on Friday 30th January.

Friendly Fires will be coming round after their NME show gig to Guest DJ and there will also be a headline live performance from very promising local electro duo Over the Wall ( " Squawking guitar, pounding keyboard and trumpet combo... affable stage banter, mid-song high fives and Neil Diamond anecdotes - 4/5" - The List), ably supported by Hidden Masters (who include former members of the magnificent and sadly missed Needles) and Miabeane & the Asthmatic Scene ( "Phil Spector producing love songs about football" - Sunday Herald).

We're hoping another band from the NME Tour might be coming round to DJ too but they're not confirmed yet - very secret and dramatic I know..

We can now announce that Florence (of Florence and the Machine) will also be coming to January's Pin Ups to Guest DJ.

We'll be charging £5 on the door but since the Pin Ups events in 2006 and 2007 which followed the NME Tour have both ended up sold out we thought we'd give you the option of buying your ticket in advance this time "in order to avoid disappointment" and all that corporate kind of chat.
