The Westie has some great gigs. And it's a nice wee cosy place... well considering i have never been to a gig there and only beenin once.. but yeh haha. Good atmosphere at gig's ive heard and im sure (from what i remember) booze is quite cheap.And you always have Oxygen down the street when the gigs over ,(well on a weekend anyway) | |

Dundee was my escape form the west coast - on retrospect I shoulda just gone to glasgow 
- I still might, moving away isnt all its cracked up to be, I hated dundee when I first moved here, and there doesnt appear to be a very large alternative scene as such - I've been to cage, sin,west port, the reading rooms, the union and all the stinky pubs on the high street etc, so far dundee hasnt quite hit the mark for me - but hey its just my opinion - and I've only been here for just over a year. Its the uni I came for and its the uni thats excellent - I'm at DOJ, which is now a part of dundee university
its by far less pretentious than glasgow and not as snooty as edinburgh - not that people that go to either of these schools are pretentious or snooty- I just think people change when in that environament.[even some of my friends have changed since going there] - anyway I'm off on a tangent - check dundee out first - dont just come here after visiting for a couple of days - which is what I did . -    | |
